For Faculty
The Vice Provost works closely with the Provost, Deans, and other academic leaders to develop and implement policies and programs that support student equity, inclusiveness, professional development, academic success, and critical dialogue skills.
Meaningful collaboration
Among a variety of responsibilities, the VPUE works in partnership with the colleges and schools to help faculty:
- further engage with undergraduates outside of the classroom through the Faculty in Residence, House Professor Dean, House Fellows, and Faculty Fellows residential programs.
- foster a sense of belonging for students through the Learn Where You Live living-learning course initiative.
- be recognized for outstanding advising and mentoring.
- manage the impact of campus-wide events on their classes in collaboration with their relevant dean and associate dean
- reduce administrative challenges that interfere with their ability to prioritize teaching and mentoring through implementing services such as the Academic Concern reporting system and the Alternative Testing Program.
