The Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education frequently partners with leaders across campus to support faculty in their teaching efforts by offering key services and promoting guidance on topics including:
Academic practices, policies, and guidance
- Academic Concern system: share your concerns about advisees or students struggling in your course(s) so their college student services office can offer support.
- Key resources: Academic Concern form, sample syllabus statement, FAQs
- Instruction related academic policies and responsibilities including, assigning an Incomplete (INC), evening prelims, and exam conflicts.
- Code of Academic Integrity and guidelines for instructors
- Interim Anti-Doxxing Policy and Resource Guide
- No graded work over breaks (plus one day after) passed Faculty Senate resolution
- Student accommodations for assignments or exams that fall on religious holidays
Students with disabilities
- Accessibility and accommodation resources
- Alternative Testing Program, for students needing extended time or reduced distraction space
Supporting students missing class for health or personal reasons
- A request for "academic considerations" may come from either the student's college student services office or Student Support and Advocacy Services
- Temporary accommodation requests will come from Student Disability Services
- The Learning Strategies Center's study resources promote students’ self-management skills which you could embed in your course
